SAN JACINTO CORN SALSA
Marilyn grew up in the shadow of the San Jacinto Mountains in Riverside County. As a child, her mother had grown up on a large cattle Ranch near San Jacinto and had participated in all ranch activities including going on cattle drives and visiting other family ranches.
Sometimes, when spending the night at a ranch in the mountains, it would get so very cold that the ranch girls, who slept outside in quilts, would wake up with their eyelashes frozen together with ice crystals. These experiences personify the frontier life which bred a generation of men and women who were strong and hearty.
It is with these anecdotes in mind that we developed our San Jacinto Salsa. Equal parts corn and equal parts tomato, the flavor is full but the heat is family friendly. Full of texture, our award winning corn salsa can be used on morning breakfast burritos, on chips at lunch, or on tacos at dinner.
Ingredients: Fresh sweet corn, tomatoes, onions, peppers, sugar, salt, garlic, vinegar, spices. |
